Launched the ‘Afforestation Carbon Neutral Project 2023’.TEAM EXPO 2025′ / Activities as a co-creation challenge
May 25, 2023 5:54 amGenuine Own Hair Reve21 (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Osaka; President: Katsumasa Okamura;
hereinafter “Reve21”) will be seeding trees at the Reve21 farm (Seika-cho, Kyoto
Prefecture). This project is part of the “TEAM EXPO 2025” program/co-creation challenge
(“Co-Creation Challenge”) to realize the Osaka/Kansai Expo theme “Design a Future that
Shines with Life” and contribute to the achievement of the SDGs. This year’s afforestation
carbon neutral project to reduce greenhouse gas emissions will be launched in conjunction
with the Osaka-Kansai Expo 2-year project, and owners of the moringa trees that will
germinate and grow will be recruited and brought back in the fall for their own carbon
neutral activities. (Tree planting: April to October 2023)
Reve21 is currently planting 3,000 Moringa* trees in Okinawa Prefecture for the purpose of
reducing greenhouse gas emissions. This is in line with the long-term environmental goal of
global warming prevention activities, the “Reve21 CO2 Emissions Reduction Vision,” which
aims to achieve carbon neutrality through elite tree planting by 2025, when the Osaka-
Kansai Expo will be held.
Outline of the Afforestation Carbon Neutral Project
This is a co-creation challenge to disseminate the “Afforestation Carbon Neutral Project” as
a design for a future society from Osaka, the main site of the Osaka-Kansai Expo to be held
two years from now, and to disseminate the Osaka model of CO2 absorption from familiar
places to the world. (For example, potted plants of Moringa, a plant that absorbs a large
amount of CO2, are installed at workplaces to contribute to carbon neutrality.)
