Reve21 is promoting the production, use, and dissemination of the “Loofah Towel” as an
alternative to plastic sponges that emit microplastic waste when washing dishes, etc. under
the theme of SDG 14 “Let’s protect the richness of the sea.
These activities received the Jury’s Encouragement Award in the “2022 Awards for
Companies Promoting Youth Experiential Activities” sponsored by the Ministry of
Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology on December 26, 2022.
This activity is a joint effort with local governments and elementary and junior high
schools to explain SDG 14 “Let’s protect the richness of the oceans” to children.
・To promote the use and spread of loofah tawashi, loofahs are actually grown in schools.
・Experienced that loofah tawashi made from loofah can be used for cleaning and other
daily necessities without discharging microplastic waste into rivers and oceans.
Reve21 will expand and lead efforts to protect the natural environment together with children
in cooperation with local governments and various schools and preschools. In addition, we are
seeking partnerships with highly motivated companies.
